as a 4th year studying environmental systems at ucsd and a curious environmentalist, i am entering a whole new playing field by emerging myself in the social justices of education and women empowerment- topics i am unfamiliar with. I'm excited to be a part of this trip to learn more about the issues surrounding this subject from the community and to engage in service.
in my free time, i like to read, explore the great outdoors, collect insects, and create DIY art projects.

Growing up, I was never really sure what career path I wanted to pursue. However, one thing that has always been crystal clear for me WAs my desire to help others. Going into my third year at UCSD, I gave a lot of thought about studying abroad, but I realized what I really wanted to do was volunteer abroad and give back to communities in other countries. I am truly blessed to be given this opportunity to participate on this Alternative Breaks trip and so excited for the upcoming year with the team!
In addition, some of my hobbies include dancing, karaoke-ing, and taking pictures.
